What is Orthodontics?
Whether we are treating a child, teenager or adult, the goal of orthodontic treatment is the same – to straighten teeth in order to change their appearance and restore their function.
We work towards this goal by developing a custom treatment plan, then using braces or clear aligners to put pressure on your teeth and gradually move them into their correct positions over a period of months or years.
Traditional Braces
Made of either metal or ceramic, traditional braces have been used for decades to straighten teeth, although the current braces may be different from the ones you remember.
Recent changes in orthodontic treatment have brought us braces that may be easier to care for, more comfortable and lower profile than they have been in the past.
Invisalign Clear Aligners
You can straighten your smile with Invisalign clear aligners, using a series of individually customized aligners that are adjusted over a period of time.
With Invisalign, your aligners are removable for when you'd prefer not to indicate to anyone that you are straightening your teeth.
They look like custom whitening trays and are easy to insert. You can remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss.
